Porn as a Part of Life?

We are wired for sex but our self/control center doesn’t fully developed until ~25yrs. Porn is designed to sexually arouse but doesn’t show real life, “real” bodies, or realities of sex, including pregnancy and STD’s.

And it increasingly features violence and younger participants, including children and infants.

A darker side to Porn

  • It can be used to groom or desensitize children to sexual acts or abuse at early ages– in one known case, a 3yr old.
  • Porn is proven addictive and drug-like for viewers, regardless of age.
  • Porn sites don’t check viewer ages. They are designed to hook, regardless of age or gender, for potential future sales.

There’s been a 15,000% increase in child sexual abuse material online since 2006.
